The MoMA was founded in 1929 as an exhibition house for modern and contemporary art. 10 years later, after a few relocations due to the growing need for exhibition space, the museum opened the doors of its new building in midtown Manhattan. Since then, the building has been enlarged several times and the collections have been continually expanded.

For a more sustainable, resource-saving exhibition design, on several exhibition levels the MoMA works with flexible walls from kub2, which we produced in cooperation with our US sales partner stabaArte, specially adapted to the requirements of the museum.
