The Gallery of Old & New Masters Schwerin was opened in the late 19th century. In the year 2016 the museum was extended with a two-storey building for exhibitions of modern art since 1945. To guarantee flexible and easy assembling and disassembling of the temporary exhibitions, the museum has gradually been equipped with reusable, moveable kub2 walls.
