STRABAG SE, one of the largest construction groups in Europe, began building up its company art collection in the 1980s. Today this includes around 8,000 works, which are shown at around 70 company locations - both as part of the office environment and in own exhibitions.
In Vienna, the Gironcoli Kristall - a multifunctional art and event hall as part of the corporate headquarters - has now been adapted for flexible use by the STRABAG Kunstforum as an exhibition space. kub2 has delivered custom-made, rollable walls, which can be easily repositioned in the room by the in-house team. If the walls are temporarily not needed, for example at events, they can simply be parked in designated areas.
